Mom plans to have her own laptop whenever possible. A growing number of techno savvy moms for sure are demanding to have their own laptops for their personal use. I noticed that only few people at the age of above 60s gets interested with technology these days. Unlike with my mom. She does maintain her own blogsite too. That’s what makes her really cool for me.
As for her latest request, she’s trying to find a laptop computer with the following specifications.
* 1024 MB RAM
* 250 GB HDD
* DVD/RW
* Display 14.1″ or smaller
* Weighs not more than 1.5kg
So far, on the list we have Acer Aspire One, Toshiba NB200-A101TB, and HP 2133 Mini Note. These three are on top of the list. Considering the price, I think Acer would be fine but if I couple good price and quality I think I would choose HP over Acer brand. Toshiba is of course the last resort among the three.
The main purpose why I have to look at several factors before the final purchase happens is due to the allocated budget and the purpose it would serve to the user. I guess mom would only be using it for slide presentation and a few internet browsing from time to time in checking the product updates online. Now it is up for her to decide what laptop suits her best.
