Litterally it means salt bread. Pan de Sal or pandesal for many is a rounded of oval shaped bread usually eaten by Filipinos during breakfast or merienda. At home we normally eat this bread together with hot Milo. Obviously me and hubby are not coffee lovers but rather chocoholics. The taste of this pandesal that T prepared is slightly sweet as he placed a little sugar on it. This bread is made of the following ingreadients:
This bread is very popular in the Philippines. As we can’t have it here as often as we can. T with his expertise often bakes this and shares it to our Filipino neighbors who crave for it. They would usually tease us to put up our own bakery as their way of appreciating the taste.
Traditionally it is served with eggs (omelet or sunny side up), cheese, ham, bacon, sausages, butter, sardines, jam or jellies, coffee, milk, tea or hot chocolate. Earlier I ate this with egg omelet. Oh, and by the way, I love eating it with Nuttella. Yum!

Came Easter and we all had a blast! Literally it was a total blast of fireworks, sumptous foods, Easter egg hunt and lively music. But before that we had the blessing of Fire, Water & Earth followed by the renewal of baptismal vows and later with the celebration. It was a terrific night and people were just ecstatic. Kids wore uniform shirts for their dance number and the elders led the band while others where having fellowship.
Pinoys of AIT Catholic Community- playing oldies but goodies Filipino and English disco songs (i.e. Awitin mo isasayaw ko, Butchiki, September…more)
I love drinking soya milk in the bottle, eating tuna in can, yoghurt in plastic cups, Coco Crunch cereal and drinking fresh milk & bottled waters. I often accumulate a good number of recyclable materials at home that I donate to my neighbor’s son whom I call little entrepreneur. His name is Chocoboy. He was named after his favorite food which is the chocolate cake.
Here in AIT we normally have Trash for Cash every first Saturday of the month. People gather outside their houses and sell the recyclable materials to the scrap buyers. They only accepts HDPE Scrap ( a recyclable waste containing High Density Polyethylene), old newspapers & boxes, empty plastic & crystal bottles, and metal scraps.
A year ago, people from our community were never aware how to handle waste properly until an Environment task force was assigned. These group of people implemented a system that enabled us, the members, to follow certain rules and instructions for a cleaner and greener AIT. One way of doing this is by using cotton bags instead of asking plastics for few groceries I purchase in the market. It’s a win-win situation for everybody since the more we become aware of the situation the less likely we are able to risk ourselves from contrbuting to global warming.
As the day gets nearer and nearer, people from our community have been cooperative in attending practices and meetings for the Holy Week celebration. This week’s shedules were:

I got a little emotional with the big "G" by what’s happening with my simple pleasures’ site ranking now. It has been dormant for months now. No movements whatsoever. Should I really be affected of this major glitch? Well,I guess I just have to bear it without minding how my blog’s status. If it remains 0 forever, then fine! Nothing should stop me from maintaining this blog of mine.
Bubble thought: "Why can’t Google ever change their algorithim?"
The weather is really rocking me back to sleep each morning. Good thing I got a job to worry so I can’t simply be a couch potato the entire day. So here goes my Wednesday regimen.
We are in a community of believers here in AIT. Our Catholic community has been actively involved in a series of lenten celebration. It started on Ash Wednesday followed by the daily station of the cross in our chapel. We are now busy preparing for the upcoming passion play on Good Friday. It’s a blessing to be working with enthusiastic people in the team. When all will be sober. The next event that we are looking forward to is the Easter Sunday.
Easter is the time of exultation and great joy as it marks the new beginning the living faith. In other parts of the world they symbolize this event with an egg —which brings forth the belief of new life. People would then have this Easter egg hunt or giving out surprise coupons inside the eggs like David’s Cookies coupons or The Pocorn Factory coupons to enliven the traditions of long time ago. Though others connotes this as profane practices. Well this is the least to worry if you ask me, since the joy that this celebration holds in every believer is more important than the little trivia that may disrupt the celebration.
