Many people from different parts of the world are celebrating their new year today like the Koreans, Mongolians, Vietnamese, Bhutanese, Nepalese and even Japanese in some parts of Japan. So, it is just but proper to say, "Happy Lunar New Year" rather than "Happy Chinese New Year" to those who are celebrating.
I’m not the type who rely on horoscopes or practices any Chinese tradition in the family, which is comparably similar to online casino in terms of luck, but I guess it won’t hurt to know the current events isn’t it? To those who are advocates of the lunar year, it’s now time to bid goodbye to the Year of the Pig and welcome the Year of the Rat. Significantly it is the 1st year of the 12 year lunar cycle.
It is said that those born under the Rat symbol have a certain characteristic of being clever, hard-working, ambitious, creative, charming and sociable, but can be stingy when it comes to sharing wealth or possessions. People born on the year 1924 1936 1948 1960 1972 1984 1996 belongs to this group. Well my brother is one of them. For sure he’s not charming and sociable, I don’t know if he’ll admit being the rest. Kidding!
