I never heard of this yet until I started to browse some entries on Thankful Thursday. It’s entitled "The Final Inquiry". How I wish it is available here in Thailand. I’d probably check some video stores to see whether they have it here. It’s just too perfect to discover this great movie on the season of Lent. I’ll be recommending it to the rest of my friends as well.
You may view the sneek peak version of this site. I can’t embed it here in i.ph since the program is not yet supported. http://www.godtube.com/view_video.php?viewkey=c814363580634df65b9d
Work is over at this time. All my officemates had left except me. Just trying to finish this entry of mine before the day ends.
Thanks to Iris for hosting "Thankful Thursday’s", for more TT’s www.eph2810.com.
It’s time to deal with WWW again! But before that let me just mention the erratic weather today. It was fairly cloudy when I was biking on my way to the office around 9 AM. I even thought it would be the best time to play tennis. After half hour the surroundings grew darker and darker like it was 7 PM. The rain poured heavily over the wilted grass and cracking ground. Ah! It was such a refreshing site to me. After an hour it ceased and everything went back to normal.
So I’ve been up to?
In the morning our house feels like a mountain resort with the breezy ambience that adds to my laziness of waking up. As an excuse or maybe this could perhaps relate to my tardiness, I have attended a short recollection last Thursday and the topic was about "Healing the Inner Child". That I guess explains why I’m always timid to wake up early in the morning. It’s because when I was in my growth years my parents never allowed us to have a sleeping spree on weekends. As I have to help them tend the customers in the store. And now It’s pay off time for the hours that were taken from me. LOL. I know you might want to react by saying, "tell that to the marines."
Let me see what I had for nourishment and exercise today. This health blog really helps me control in eating excessively even for just once a week. LOL.
In life we all need coaches. Either from parents, guidance councilors, teachers, elders, spiritual directors and even books. And one of the persons I look up to—I must say— is Bro. Bo Sanchez. This month’s soulfood issue is just another great work of love from Mr. Love himself. May you enjoy reading the excerpts below.
How to have a relationship that will last
Yes, Opposites Attract—
But Will The Attraction Make A Relationship Endure To The End?
I just attended the wedding of my niece, Beng, and her new husband, PJ.Beautiful wedding.
Beng is my lovely niece, the daughter of Pinkie and Abel–(Pinkie is my sister). I’m amazed how many common things bind them together.
- When PJ was 8-years-old, he saw Beng as a 6-year-old kid and liked her already. (My gosh, that was 19 years ago.)
- PJ is part of the choir of his church, while Beng is one of the singers of our music ministry.
- Both of them are very loving to their own parents—who nourished both of them with great amounts of love.
- Both are known by everyone as moral, upright, diligent, and wholesome. (To some people, that means “boring”. To me, that means wise.)
- Both of them love the Lord.
They say that when it comes to love, opposites attract.
I admit that it adds sizzle, no doubt.
Partners can differ on tastes—perhaps the woman loves Italian pasta but the man eats only adobo and paksiw. Partners can differ on the best way to spend their weekend—perhaps he likes mountain climbing but she likes answering sudoku at home. Partners can differ in personality—perhaps he likes to listen and she likes to talk.
All these differences are fine. They can complement each other.
But at the end of the day, it’s the COMMON things that will HELP hold a marriage together. Especially (1) common values, (2) common vision, and (3) common passions.
So I’m betting that Beng and PJ will grow old together.
If you’re married, and you want to strengthen your marriage, then CREATE common values, common vision, and common passions together. Work on them!
And if you’re not yet married, be sure to find someone who shares with you your values, vision, and passions.
That’s why it’s very important to first be clear about your dreams. And that’s why I’m excited to give you my first FREE E-book, How To Make Your Dreams Come True, Part 1: Soul Dreams. By clarifying your personal dreams, you’ll find out if the other person also has similar dreams—or dreams you can support with all your heart. (So sorry, it’s taking some time to get your first FREE E-book sent to you. I already wrote it, but I didn’t realize there are a lot of other things to do aside from writing it—like setting up all the websites, links, etc… Please bear with us as you wait for my first FREE E-book. Give us a couple more weeks to finish the infrastructure and packaging.)
Live with purpose,
Bo Sanchez
Currently I’m using a Free mobile phone which was given to me by no other than my generous hubby. I’m grateful for it though I felt less technosavy using Motorola since I’ve been used to Nokia eversince. There are certain functionalities that goofs me out like the camera keys and text pad. Whereas in Nokia you can talk and type your SMS message at the same time since I have already memorized the keys.
I’m tempted to buy the Cheap phones in Laos. Only to find out they are made or immitation goods from China. Nokia never manufactured N96i and N97i but in Laos they sell like hotcakes. I wonder how durable those gadgets are.
I tried to search for Cheap Mobile Phones online and the rates where amazing. I plan to use Paypal to purchase this new gadget but I’m worried how much will it cost me for shipping from UK to Souteast Asia. It will probably help to ask for customer service to get a detailed computation.
It felt so good to be blessed with glorious foods!
This is the chocolate cake coated with bright red icing made by Ate Agnes. She’s the expert cake maker here in AIT.
A potluck lunch party was held earlier with mostly GDS faculty and staffs were invited. I contributed some fresh fruits, drinks and other quintessentials. Others brought their own specialty sprinkled with labor of love. But this heart shaped cake was definitely the main attraction among others.
It was a little late to take breakfast when I woke up yesterday. Haven’t stared intently at the clock either. I made the first call for mass preparation and found hubby laughing at my enthusiasm. He asked, what’s the hurry? we’re too early for the second mass aren’t we? Huh?!? Too surprised to see we’re exactly an hour late for the 8:30 mass. What a day! Oh well, T’s right, I slept for a couple of minutes then pushed myself out of bed and headed to the shower.
T spent a little longer in preparation before we finally left home. We arrived at 2 PM in Ruamrudee Church and attended the service. It was finished at 4. And almost too weak to travel back home we went to All Seasons Place to fill in our stomachs. Fortunately it was a farewell celebration for our friend M who will be assigned in the Philippines for work. I had a hearty breakfast, lunch and dinner, all in one at Sizzlers. I ordered for a fish menu below coupled with buffet –soup and fresh salads (not in photo).
Happy to be blessed and satisfied with such healthy meals. It’s good to be hungry once in awhile. All the food seems edible nonetheless.
Many people from different parts of the world are celebrating their new year today like the Koreans, Mongolians, Vietnamese, Bhutanese, Nepalese and even Japanese in some parts of Japan. So, it is just but proper to say, "Happy Lunar New Year" rather than "Happy Chinese New Year" to those who are celebrating.
I’m not the type who rely on horoscopes or practices any Chinese tradition in the family, which is comparably similar to online casino in terms of luck, but I guess it won’t hurt to know the current events isn’t it? To those who are advocates of the lunar year, it’s now time to bid goodbye to the Year of the Pig and welcome the Year of the Rat. Significantly it is the 1st year of the 12 year lunar cycle.
It is said that those born under the Rat symbol have a certain characteristic of being clever, hard-working, ambitious, creative, charming and sociable, but can be stingy when it comes to sharing wealth or possessions. People born on the year 1924 1936 1948 1960 1972 1984 1996 belongs to this group. Well my brother is one of them. For sure he’s not charming and sociable, I don’t know if he’ll admit being the rest. Kidding!
I can’t find the right topic to bounce off on this site. I’m spending more on my "me time" these days. Sleeping early, exercise, doing the chores, watching movies, reading few pages of good books and listening to my favorite music. It feels refreshing to step back and go over the important things which I missed doing for a long time.
Blogging could be addictive that eats up most of my "me time" supposed to be. Anyway, I need to resolve this at once. I’m creating a schedule for my activities to have a change on my routine.
