Special Occasion Calls for a Toast

There are special occasions which calls for something special too. One of those is the celebration of the New Year. Every time the year comes to an end we celebrate it with family, relatives and friends. A time to be thankful for the past year and a time to wish for the best things in the coming year.

It has been a tradition that there's always a galore of foods and drinks. On the list comes the ever favorite lechon, spaghetti, salad, cakes, and more. Drinks of different variety of wine like white wine, red wine, chardonnay, merlot, and many more. Some goes for beer like San Miguel, Heineken, Leo to name a few.

The party would not be complete without the wine toasting ceremony. A symbolic well wishing for the coming years. Dancing until morning with family and friends. What a great way to celebrate new year.

Trash for Cash

The Environment Committee of AIT had organized the "AIT Clean and Green" campaign alongside with the management and the community members. We normally gather our recyclable materials and sells it to the scrap buyer. 

As early as 9 AM this morning people have paraded all the trash outside their units for sale. Me and hubby donated all the useful items to our neighbor's little entrepreneur, Chocoboy. His mom is training him to learn the value of money at his very young age. Everybody were happy after the bargaining and all went home without empty pockets.  

Loving Thailand

Thailand is the best place for an adventure. One can never run out of activities for the entire year for a grand vacation.

One of the many beautiful places I've been to is Baan Pa Ngam located in the province of Prachinburi. It's actually a mountain resort managed by a hospitable family.  That place is highly recommended for honeymooners or retreat goers. Their food was a delight with live karaoke entertainment and fire dancers that had kept us awake till midnight.  

The last day was the most memorable for me. I joined the 'water challenge' with other friends who were on the go. The unforgettable scene was jumping 24 feet high from the pond water. It was yucky to think but that spells fun for me. Fortunately, nobody ever dared giving up. So it was declared a tie in the end.

Other members of our team who went there chose the 'abseiling' activity.  Good for them, since they were equipped with Hiking Boots or Hunting Boots when they went up the waterfalls. It protected them from slipping off the slimy surface of rocks.

I wish to be back there again sometime. Hopefully on April in time for the Thai New Year or Songkran Festival.

I love what I saw from hubby's new text editing/enrichment software.  This tool have helped several book authors to finish their publications. Bloggers, take note!

White Smoke writing software works with applications such as MS Word, Adobe Acrobat, Internet Explorer, Firefox, Mac etc. Unfortunately this doesn't work on AbiWord or on a Linux platform.  So I can't have it. Anyway, let me just inform you that White Smoke 2008 is now out in the market.
