I decided to create a separate site for my interests on photography, editing tools, softwares, and travels in Digital View Finder. Life is too short, let’s preserve it by capturing evey details of it! I would gladly appreciate if you could leave a line or two on my other site. Thanks!
Every year we look forward to Christmas Day. A time for family gathering with lots of fun and food. There is also this early dawn mass practiced by most Filipinos in preparation for the coming of Christ. Usually after mass various local delicacies are served for fellowship and others sold outside the church’s gates.
As the days are drawing near. Neighborhoods are busy decorating their houses with some flashing and twinkling lights outside. More so on the interior, Christmas trees are embellished with colorful stars, balls, angels and tinsels. A mini stable is prepared with the Holy Child Jesus, Joseph and Mary together with the shepherds, animals, angels and the three (3) kings who came to adore him. There’s also an advent wreath and a mistletoe on the doorsteps. Everybody makes sure that all of the decorations are displayed just to remind us of the Christmas spirit.
As the countdown begins more and more people are rushing to the nearest malls. Shopping for the ornaments needed takes a lot of time going from one shop to another. Finding the right theme that blends with our house interior even at times takes days.
I think if you really need to do some serious shopping, the best place to go without spending too much hassle will be the online stores. I’ll start shopping as early as possible to have our decors ready on time. Plus to avoid Christmas rush. Unique Christmas Decorations and Christmas Home Decor Ideas are not difficult to find.
One place to have a wide selection of exclusive and unique Christmas decorations is at www.collectiblestoday.com. I am amazed of the variety of collectible decorations they have. From Tabletop Christmas Trees, Christmas Villages, Christmas Wreaths, Christmas Ornaments and much more. I like most Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer Christmas Town Village Collection which lights up the houses of the village. Having this on the living room as a center piece would attract our visitors attention. This will surely fascinate the kids and adults alike. Indeed it’s worth collecting and keeping those treasures at home.
Though the spirit of Christmas is always in our hearts; this external beauty enhances the spirit. Adding to have a touch of life’s simple pleasures.
This coming October, a new chapter of my life is unfolding. When asked about age, in vernacular people would always say, "dali na lng ko madula sa kalendaryo." Or my age will not be reflected in the calendar soon. To compromise, I will remain 25 forever =), in thoughts of course. Young at heart so to speak.
Now it’s my time to return the favors of having blessed abundantly by the Lord for the whole year. My wish is just simple. That I may be able to contribute some amount to the diligent entrepreneurs or to our brethren in need of small business capital in KIVA. I accidentally watched the Australian channel in my sis-in -law’s house sometime July. They were featuring the program about the beneficiaries of the loan done through internet. Their stories have moved me. And I salute the supporters of this organization.
Just a quick background, Kiva is a transparent lending platform which connects lenders and borrowers around the world mostly from developing countries. It’s based on honesty policy, which means you lend money with no interest and no money back guarantee. But amazingly, almost all borrowers have fully paid their loans. The payment doesn’t really matter. However, the lessons learned by both sides from this experience is incredibly remarkable.
How does it work?
Step 1: Choose a business
Step 2: Make a loan
Step 3: Receive journals and payments
Step 4: Withdraw or re-loan
