I’m inspired to share yesterday’s experience with my photo club classmates in multiply.com. It was about displaying a bigger photo on a blog post. Normally, in multiply or here in i.ph, pictures are resized into a standard size based from the site’s template. Another way to display attractive photos inside a blog page is through the use of Flickr. I got this idea from Ate Carey when she came here to Thailand last June. Below you’ll find the steps on how to do some simple copy paste formula to get a perfect result on your pictures. Be sure to open an account first at http://flickr.com using yahoo ID before starting over.
1. download photos on FLICKR
2. click the photo that you’ve just downloaded
3. find >>All sizes
4. choose either medium or large
5. copy the html code below
6. go back to your blogpage
7. click >>Edit HTML or HTML
8. paste the code from flickr
9. switch back to normal window
and it will display a bigger size of photo
if my instructions aren’t clear…bug me =)
I am a simple person who’s not really obsessed with beauty products. Unlike others, I seldom use some make up or lipstick going to the office or going out of the house. But on some occasions like job interview , like a formal dinner party or when the event really calls for one I put on some light make up and lipstick. Other than that I would prefer to stay as natural as possible. I value natural beauty.
The make up that I normally use are those with natural color which matches with the skin tone that I have. By the way if you ask about my skin color, I could proudly say I am very Asian as I was born in the Philippines. I’m a full blooded Filipina blessed with a light brown skin.
Everything is normal with my skin but I get annoyed by some warts growing on my back. Me and Tony visited a dermatology clinic in Future Park Rangsit, Bangkok to have it checked. It didn’t cost much to have those warts removed like it was around 3,000 to 4,000 Baht or roughly 90 US to $120 US. When we were there what caught my attention were those photos of beauty services like removing some spots on the face or reviving your skin which cost a fortune. The service fee ranges from around 25,000 to 40,000 Baht or $735 US to $1175 US for the treatment cost. It’s beyond ones reach unless you’re working as an executive in an international company or the likes. This is definitely not for me.
I was thinking if there was an alternative way to have better skin or can remove some spots on the skin. I came to know from my sister of ORIKI Cosmeceuticals which have a Whitening Lotion that reduces dark spots on skin and provides skin protection from solar damage. The formulations are hypoallergenic and is designed specifically for Asian skins.
I was surprised to see that the cost of having such a skin care product is very affordable at around $79 US. The price pales in comparison to the one provided by the beauty clinic that I have visited. A cheaper way to have a better skin. It’s worth your money.
For me beauty goes deep than just what can be seen by the naked eye but it can’t be denied these products helps.
Beauty should be enjoyed as life’s simple pleasures.
