Two weeks ago my sister was having a dilemma with her huge photo albums she accumulated for 17 years of stay here in Thailand. Her family is migrating to Finland in few days time and she wants to bring the printed photos with her. It’s not easy to let go of the good memories we’ve shared with friends and families. We try to linger our togetherness and cherish the happy moments that has transpired in the past. Recalling faces we encountered in our life’s journey.
For now her baggage already exceeds the maximum amount required. So she settled with scanned photos to add with her existing digital photos and shredded the printed ones right after.
As I help her cut those pictures into pieces I manage to recall the scenes I saw in Harry Potter wherein old photos of Lily and James come to life similar to that of putting video clips in a frame. Now my imagination zapped me back to reality thinking of the possibility of having digital frames instead of thick albums. Excited over my idea. I asked uncle Google straightaway. To my surprise I have found the answer. Digitalframez.com is the name of an online electronic store which specializes in lcd digital photo frames. There frames comes in varied sizes of 7 to 10 inches in width and memory storage. It also goes with a remote control for easy viewing of favorite albums.
My fascination saved the day. Now I can save a bigger space at home in purchasing this digital picture frame online.

Yesterday, Thailand was in glorious celebration commemorating Mother's Day in honor of Her Royal Highness Queen Sirikit's birthday held annually every 12th of August. People here have been pretty emotional this days. Majority went home to their provinces to spend time with their beloved moms to pay respect and offer special gifts of fresh or fancy Jasmine flowers which is the symbol of motherhood in Thai.
Today is our compensatory holiday. Since Friday afternoon my friends went rushing for a vacation to Krabi in the south and others in Rayong near the gulf of Thailand. Whereas me, leisurely enjoyed by treating myself for a sleeping spree or a day of a sleep-all-you-can in our peaceful mountain-resort-like abode and make some blog for money with smorty. After long hours of sleep I was able to get reconditioned. Revved up to discover new paid to blog opportunities. One of which I encountered is smorty.com. Smorty is a service connecting advertisers with bloggers. Advertisers can pay bloggers to write opinion posts with links back to the advertisers site mainly for the reason of increasing their site's traffic.
I find it pretty fast to get connected and start up with my newly discovered site. No more thrilling days to wait if my blog site will be approved or not. It saved me a lot of time for it's only a matter of signing up and the system automatically detects if your site is qualified. Not just that, I think the advertisers are fair enough to allocate three days time to comply with their requirements. I'm confident that smorty will attract more blogging enthusiasts in this sense.

Thanking You All for Everything
a day to go and you’re off to your land of dreams
a place where aurora borealis exist
with fewer sunshines and lots of twilights
i know it will be freezing cold in there
just always feel our hugs to keep you warm.
me and tony have always been grateful to have you handy
for the free breakfasts, lunches, dinners we savored
for great laughs, kids petty quarrels, and togetherness in adventures
for the many fruitful years of having you all in our life here in TH
Thank You!

Time to break the ice. Summer Universiade is officially open today held in our neighboring campus Thammasat University Rangsit, North of Bangkok, Thailand. Activities will be from 8 August 2007 to 18 August 2007. Delegates came from as far as Europe, North America, South America, and Central Asia as well.
Yesterday while withdrawing money from SCB bank I spotted athletes in white pants and jackets wearing a big sign Macau entering Hom Krun coffee shop. I assume that athletes village must have been full that why others managed to stay in the nearest hotel which is AIT conference center.
It’s probably exciting to witness the events considering this University Sports is almost equivalent to Olympic Games.

I started blogging since 2004 in another blog site. I never thought that I could ever get paid when I blog until I discovered P.P.P. through my sisters Carey and Daisy. Both shared to me the idea about my blog earning some bucks like they do. They encouraged me then to have my blog registered in an ad post. At first I was hesitant due to my schedules at work. But I later reconsidered the idea after finding that it's a lucrative thing to add to my hobby of blogging.
My imagination started to soar as to the possibilities available. I think of building my dreams just little ones to start with. The list on my mind starts with buying something like a digital SLR Nikon D40X camera. On my estimates this small endeavor would require me something like 50 blogs or more to have it. Mind you I have a busy schedule at work and at home. But I have spared time for the past years to blog. Who knows after 3 months I will finally have my most coveted dream digital SLR camera come true.
So while I enjoy blogging, I have something to look forward as a reward for myself of the simple pleasure in life. Whew! that seems to be a pressure on my part. How about you? Have any dreams to build on? I think it's worth a try.
I find work pleasurable this days. Off duties as project administrator as we’re approaching the interim stage for another regional level. Now I have lots of time to post a part of my simple pleasure which is cooking. Last night I decided to cook a forbidden food for Tony. Though he’s got allergies with shrimps he seemed not to mind the after effect and just savor the once in a blue moon treat. Next time I’ll be cautious enough to secure an anti-allergy medicine first before preparing the same menu. Load of thanks to Ate Cookie who gave the recipe book.
Gambas recipe (good for two)
200g deveined shrimp
garlic finely chopped
onion thinly sliced
1/2 tsp. hot sauce
1/8 cup tomato sauce
black pepper and salt to taste
1 tbsp. butter
1/2 tbsp. bread crumbs
Saute garlic and onion with butter. Add shrimp, tomato sauce, hot sauce, pepper, salt and bread crumbs. Easy!
If you might ask me what skills would I like to upgrade,
my answer would be playing guitar/tennis, desktop publishing and photography.
Among the rest, photography is where my concentration is geared to lately.
Some say this hobby is expensive but for me it’s priceless.
The happiness that I get out of this is a gift.
I like to capture stories, beauty and memories behind every shot that I make.
This is how I appreciate God’s creation in the most special way.
