Time for some humanitarian break

August 31, 2007

Found Sahel on my Dev-Zone newsletter and a heartbreaking article attached to it "Sahel: A Prisoner of Starvation" published by Oakland Institute.  This article actually proves that eliminating hunger throughout Africa is possible.
***
Courtesy of Wikipedia- The Sahel is primarily savannah and runs 2,400 miles from the Atlantic Ocean to the Horn of Africa, changing from semi-arid grasslands to thorn savanna. Over the history of Africa the region has been home to some of the most advanced kingdoms benefiting from trade across the desert. Collectively these states are known as the Sahelian kingdoms. The countries of the Sahel today include Senegal, Mauritania, Mali, Burkina Faso, Niger, Nigeria, Chad, Sudan, and Eritrea.

***

In 2005 Niger was ranked as the poorest country in the world by the United Nations.  Some or almost half of there country’s budget comes from foreign donors and private & public institutions. There problem is basically focused on the supply and demand of food by the populace.  Large monopolistic traders have caused the destabilization of the local market. With the scarcity, people suffer from malnutrition.

I hope there country would not encounter much worst than this.  That there would be better solution to solve this food crisis which is happening in many parts of the world now and not just Africa.

As for individuals like me, the message would be more on awareness.  At times I’d prefer to eat on fast foods, letting vegetables and fruits rot on my refrigerator.  This article somehow draw me to reality.  To think of others who are starving with no money to buy and simply nothing to eat. I’d be more conscious this time.

Staying healthy

August 30, 2007

I’m saving my veggies and fruits to try these combinations on weekend. Got this info from a friend who forwarded an email to me. I almost junked it but thought ‘there’s no harm in reading it.’  I’m beginning to like the message the moment I saw the first line . That’s why I feel compelled to share it with others. If you want to  stay fit. Try this =)

List of healthy juices:
1. To boost and cleanse our system- Carrot + Ginger + Apple.
2. To prevent cancer, reduce cholesterol, and improve stomach upset and headache- Apple + Cucumber + Celery
3. To
improve skin complexion and avoid bad breath- Tomato + Carrot + Apple.
4. To avoid bad breath and reduce internal body heat- Bitter gourd + Apple + Milk.
5. To
improve Skin texture and moisture and reduce body heat- Orange + Ginger + Cucumber
6.
To dispel excess salts, nourishes the bladder and kidney- Pineapple + Apple + Watermelon.

Eating the right kind of food, exercise  and taking regular vitamins is the key to a healthier body. Speaking of vitamins I want to try this GNC Coupon Codes.  No shipping fees required and they offer big discounts on most of there products.

Oh well, its quite hard to stay healthy at this age of instant meals and fast foods. Last time I suffered from Vitamin B deficiency.  I even posted an entry about it a month ago.  The early signs were cracking of the two corners and peeling of skin on my lips.   I thought that won’t happen to me because I regularly consume 4 liters of 100% veggie mix juice a month.  The nutritional content shows it has enough Vitamins, minerals and fiber content needed for my daily diet.  I wonder what caused it. From now on I’m taking vitamins regularly to avoid any disorders.

The importance of secondary storage

August 28, 2007

I remember one incident that happened four years ago when our IT personnel attempted to upgrade the database server.  Everything was going smooth at first. They managed to follow the instructions properly but during the last part of the installation, something went wrong. They’ve pressed the "YES" button which deleted almost the entire database files from the server.  Included in the loss were news bulletin, students data and others that were stored at that particular server.

It didn’t passed the attention of the boss.  The IT guys was so frustrated on not reading the lengthy instructions properly. As a consequence they all spent sleepless nights just to manually recover data from tape backups. Some of the data are unrecoverable. It required some input of the data from hard copies back to the server.  Can you imagine how difficult it was to load every single data rather than restoring the back-up files?  Big problem was, some of the tape back-up failed during restoration.  So it served a big lesson for them to check once in a while the reliability of the backup tapes.

Today considering for secondary servers or storage of valuable information is a must.  It is essential for big and  even small companies to secure continuous transactions. Likely considered highly important by iBackup as well.  iBackup offers the best solution to major problems like this.  If you might not want to end up scraping for data that have been lost due to wrong execution of commands, better save it through Online Backup first before continuing any step further. This company is very reliable in a sense that it has won several awards including PC World (2006) and PC Magazine editor’s choices.

The particular incident could be avoided if secondary backup was done in a remote location like iBackup aside from relying on tape back-up. One will never know the importance, until you get into technology disaster.

Evening wind at Siam City Hotel

August 27, 2007

I had a chance to attend an important milestone in ASEP’s history (Asian Society for Environmental Protection) last night.  They conducted there election of new officers at Siam City Hotel, Bangkok.  Part of there agenda was to discuss the by-laws of the organization which involves the members participation including my husband being one of them.

I love coming back to that hotel not only for the delicious foods but also for the beautiful ambiance and the safety of each person staying there. The men in black are stationed every floors to secure the belongings which are left unattended during meetings and seminars.

Homework, teaching and presentation tool

August 26, 2007

Kids just love colorful images — based on my experience as kindergarten and Grade 1 English teacher in Bangkok.  It was my first job abroad way back 2003 to 2005. Pretty challenging for a neophyte like me whose background is more on business management and desktop publishing.

The first few months were obviously the trial and error period.  Conducting boring classes with not much participation from Thai students who considers English as there secondary language in school. I pushed myself to do some research on how to improve my newly found skill in teaching. I discovered that integrating more graphics on my lessons generated positive results with the children’s interest.  The students were able to relate concretely with attractive visual aides and detailed examples.

What I do is just search for free clip arts on the net or scan photos and print it using colored printers to purposely make it appealing to my audience. One site I want to recommend is Alfy.com which is well known for Free Clip Art for Kids.  They also offer a variety of exercise materials that could be used for your toddlers at home or improve your kids assignments in school. Like coloring pages, arts and crafts projects and word puzzles. Better visit the site to see what I mean. I’m sure English teachers in Thailand and other countries would enjoy browsing it.

All that happened two years ago.  Now that I am on administrative job there’s a slighter demand on the use of vector graphics. I find it useful on adding effects for our Powerpoint presentations in generating reports.  This only tells me that clip arts are essential to better understanding and a great tool for everyday task.

Weekend bumpin’ into technorati

August 25, 2007

It’s a gloomy Saturday. It seems that the Sun slept late last night. I still washed some clothes, hoping that the Sun will finally rise up later. Waiting for the washing machine to do it’s work I took a peep on some stats about my blogsite. Oh my. Yeah, I don’t fare well on some areas like technorati.

Hmmnnss, I am not that techno savy like my Tony. It’s a big task for me to  claim my blog on technorati. Just an experiment to see whether my ranks will change in the coming days.

Registering on technocrati will give my blog some exposure needed for people to reach it. Technorati Profile is one of the requirements to fully claim my blog. Finishing it in record time, about 1 hour. :) Very fast indeed. My page ranks are increasing, increasing, up and up. Yup, that’s why you end up to this page! :) Hehehehe.. very fast results indeed. Enjoy the weekend.

I miss home

August 23, 2007

Sylvanah and cookies at Bob’s restaurant, piaya from Bong-bongs, kalamay hati from my Mama Dory, whimpy’s from Ice cream House, cansi from Cansi House, chicken b-b-q from Chicken House/Deli, cakes and pastries from Calea, party at Bar 21, fresh seafoods in Pala-pala, spaghetti in Cake House, native foods from Quan aahhhh I miss Negros. Our local foods always comes to mind whenever I’m hungry and homesick.

It’s almost three years of being away.  Wondering if I could possibly visit next year to see friends and attend our reunion on April 2008. Well I can’t be sure of that. Let’s cross the bridge when we get there. Mom was also asking me last week if I could go home to witness our town fiesta. I waived it because I can’t obviously make it. Told her hopefully next year.  Though I truly miss my family at home so much, all I could do is think of the brighter side.  A fuller and richer life with my husband.

When boredom strikes

August 21, 2007

It was way past my bedtime and i don’t feel like sleeping yet.  It always happens whenever I drink Coke or Pepsi. I’m not in the mood for blogging last night. So I find something else to occupy myself.  I remember Ate Cookie gave me her red sewing kit before she left for Finland. Found it hidden inside the cabinet.  Rearranged them properly and sewed some loose buttons from my pants. Isn’t it neat?

Imagining doing some combat stints

Have you ever tried watching Mortal Kombat Annihilation? I can never forget Liu Kang, Rayden, Shao Kahn and Sonya Blade.  I imagined myself doing some combat stints like that in the movie against one person earlier.  Hahahaha. Excuse me for sounding a bit morbid.  That’s because I have encountered a not-so-good experience with one of the HR personnels this morning.  I even greeted her politely. In reply she gave a nasty look and unwelcoming response to my request for certification of contract.  Wondering if I came there with ninja swords, throwing stars, nunchaku and other martial arts equipment armed all over my body.  You think she might have treated me better? Hahaha. Don’t get me wrong I don’t intend to dress up like a warrior going to office.  I just want make a laugh out of that unwholesome situation.

True to its sense. Most of the martial arts equipment is feared upon by many.  But considerably few people likes to collect this items for display. No need to buy them they say.  It’s offered for free if you subscribe on the monthly newsletter or win the contest in Extremely-Sharp

Back in Philippines I remember bringing along with me either  tear gas or pepper spray when I go shopping.  I neatly tuck them inside my handbag for security reasons. Here it’s not the case anymore.  I’ve learned to rely on my Protector and not with some tiny piece of gadget.

Rockin’ Girl Blogger

Surprising to see this post from my multiply friend Ragen.  We’ve just been blogmates for a couple of months and she never cease to amaze me with her gift of gab.  A beautiful soul inside and out. It was from her that I got the care2share label for my tag.   Look at the badge. It’s pretty in pink!

here’s what she wrote about me:

aileen of tonyleen-i have yet to get deeper into this woman who lives in faraway exotic thailand and enjoys the occasional karaoke night with friends, takes absolutely charming pictures, and can whip up the best of oriental cuisine right in a heartbeat from her very own kitchen. the moment i saw her wedding pics i got hooked. she was an angel swathed in silk but truth be told, it was just the tip of the iceberg. from what i started to gather from weeks of reading into her writings and nights of browsing through pictures she heartily took, she is a great personality you’d want to take home to your mama and boast that she’s your bestfriend.a gem uncovered.

now it’s time for me to say YOU ROCK! to the four promising girl bloggers. you may share this to your fave bloggers if you want.

***You rock Carey! of ideasnpink- expert on desktop publishing softwares as she conducts frequent seminars on this medium, artist by heart, your musings are very inspiring.

US Vacation, Difficulty of getting Prepaid Cellular Mobile Phone?

I once talked to my friend who just moved to Orange Country, US. One of the difficulties he told me that most of the phones in US are post paid and it entails a lot of paper work. It sounds like it’s difficult to have prepaid phones. Well, times must have changed because that was like seven (7) long years ago. Now a days it would be easier. That’s the marvel of technology.

There’s even this site wherein you could get the latest information regarding prepaid cellular phones. I remember the hot topic for mobile phone users in the US and around the world which I have read from email. It’s about overheating and short circuit of the battery from Nokia phones. Some explosions and scary news which I read from email but it’s not that scary when I read it from prepaidpro.net. Promoting prepaidpro.net? Nah forget about it. I learned from there that my old phone Nokia 2300 was one of those that have been recalled due to overheating and battery problem. Lucky for me that right now I am using Motorola L6 Black. This phone was handed down to me when my Nokia 2300 was broken. I got latest news, review and information from the site. It’s a good source of idea to know more about issues and options regarding prepaid and wireless cellular phones.

As of this writing prepaid phones are widely available anywhere in the United States where regular phone service is available. One thing to keep in mind is that there are different major carriers for each state, so when travelling be sure to check on availability before buying a particular service. I’ll be travelling there soon? Actually, my dad is inviting me and Tony to Texas where he works. We’re still thinking about it and I’ll let you know then. :)

My Dad’s going crazy over solitaire

August 20, 2007

I really don’t get the point why some people lounged on the same old games such as Solitaire, Minesweeper, FreeCell and Pinball for hours. There must have been a certain chemistry that keeps you trying aplenty so you could finally perfect or outscore others and find yourself starting all over again.  Yeah, I know what you’re thinking, it’s crazy and funny.  My dad is actually one of those people I’m referring to. He does this to leisurely treat himself for a break after a days work engaging on his handyman craft.

Much as I want him to enjoy, I will try to recommend him blackjack game.  I’m not sure if he’s willing to challenge backgammon online gamers rather than a simple computer.  It’s sure is easy, you just have to download it online. It’s also available in several languages like English, French, Japanese, Spanish, Arabic, Turkish, Hebrew, German and a lot more. If your language is not listed I think you could request the developers to add it. The game also supports multi player mode where you could play interactively with some players from different parts of the world. So playing would not be boring.

My dad will surely be happy to include this on his favorite games. It would be his first interactive online gaming experience I bet. But let me see first how he welcomes this new game. See you in the next post.

Video shooting within AIT

Thais are enjoying there compensatory holiday now for yesterdays National Charter Election.  To accept or not to accept the new draft of constitution. Whereas we the non-immigrants have to go to office and do the usuals.

At 7:15 AM I was half asleep waiting for the sound of the alarm when suddenly there was this weird sound that keeps on reverberating every two to three minutes.  The man using a megaphone shouting, "Camera, Action!…..Cut!"  I went out to check what’s happening. I saw big vans for lighting and shooting equipments parked right in front of our unit. There were a bunch of crews and  miscellaneous staffs who cook for them and prepare their talents & location. I was amazed how this people worked well coordinated.

shooting

After arriving in my office, I received an email that explains the early buzz. So far this the fourth Thai commercial I’ve witnessed being done here in Asian Institute of Technology.  That accounts for its beautiful and peaceful environment so to speak.

Dear All:

On Monday, 20 August 2007, between 6 a.m. – 8 p.m, a film production
company will do a video shooting for a TV commercial for Government
Savings Bank. The shooting locations are in the corridors of the
administrative and academic areas, Arcade and the Library. Permissions
to conduct the shooting have been secured from concerned units/offices.

Generally, this video shooting would not block/disturb normal community
activities, but they are sorry for any inconvenience that may cause you.

Staying Focused to Get What You Want in Life

August 19, 2007

I came across this word Simpleology on the net. It’s a buzz around this days and it’s even featured in Wall Street Journal. Before, my plain understanding of the word simpleology is that it’s an amalgamation of two words simple and logy. simple could mean easy, straightforward or trouble-free while logy probably come from Greek logos meaning science or study.

After reading and digging some facts, I found out that it’s founder Mark Joyne simply defines simpleology as "The Simple Science of Getting What You Want". That sounds heavy. The program emphasizes on clear vision, focused energy and attention. It’s also about prioritizing actions moving towards your goals. How badly do you want it?

Going into the program takes time and needs some coaxing to guide you. Although there are audio and video tools which are interactive as a support for learning. They have expanded it to a web accessible program. It’s like having some virtual mentoring or going into virtual classes everyday. It’s good that they make use of the internet technology to do such thing.

There’s a newly release Simpleology WebCockpit 1.0 which is the first of it’s kind "Web 2.0" application designed to allow our users to apply the simpleology principles in an automated manner. Though this needs some radical enhancements and improvement in the succeeding versions but the wealth of learning is still there.

Staying focused on hitting our targets or on the things we want in life are major challenges which when overcomed becomes life’s simple pleasures. It actually takes time to break the bad habits and replace it with a good one. Let’s start setting our goal and keep a constant look on it and work towards it.

Enlarging my psychological wallet

August 17, 2007

I'm imparting my scant knowledge from Brother Bo's 8 Secrets of the the Truly Rich here as I blogvertise. Today's weather is just too perfect to carry on with my peppy mood.

There is a secret psychology to money. Most people don't know about it. That's why most people never become financially successful. A lack of money is not  the problem; it is merely a symptom of what's going on inside you.  –T. Harv Eker

This powerful words of Eker let's me sort out my goals and analyze the things I do to achieve it.  Like mentally I invest time to read good books and exercise my brain to think more often.  Physically I exercise to stay fit. Socially I nurture new and old  relationship with friends through constant communication.  Financially I earn through full time job and part time through blogging.  I agree that the lack of money isn't exactly the problem but how do I address the latter.

I always have the tendency to look away and think of far fetched ideas to generate extra income.  Oftentimes I fail to realize that the solution is just around the corner.  That it is just right in front of me and  I'm not doing anything to make it work.

To end the long story, I discovered a way to tap my potentials.  The quick fix I bring about is my pastime activity which is blogvertising.  Or advertising sites through links that could eventually increase site's traffic for faster recognition  on search engines.  Simple! like eating siopao.  If you may ask, does it really work? Yes it does.  Only then there are certain prerequisites to deal with before  doing your job.

–First- create your blog site.  Paid or free customized sites doesn't matter. Just remember that paid sites has more advantage with advertising opportunities than unpaid ones.
–Second- post a minimum of 3 blogs per week.  Or at least 10 blogs each month.
–Third- make sure to exchange links with other sites. The more the better chance to increase Google  & Alexa page ranks.
–Fourth- create Paypal account.
–Fifth- register blogsite to promotional sites like blogvertise.com, etc…  add comment if you want to know the rest.

As I set my psychological wallet for this month, I am imagining an extra $500 in my pocket. This amount is just a teaser as I have just started this scheme for this very same month. It's sure to double on the successive months. Keep blogging!

Fried ice cream! Have you ever tasted it?

fried ice-creamMe: Hello! Where have you been?
Nephew & niece: Tita Jeannette treated us out in Bangkok and we ate fried ice cream.
Me:" Whoa! sounds cool, I’m intrigued", I blurted.  "How could you ever fry an ice scream, huh?,"  wondering how on earth could that possibly be.
Nephew and niece: "It’s yummy, you should try it Auntie, R-vin and Anzel," said on chorus.
Me:  "Definitely I will," I agreed.

 ***

After a year of waiting
and longing.

Of finally ending my ignorance.
I say,

it’s worth the wait
Surprisingly, it is tasted like a modern binangkal* with ice cream fillings!

A bunch of thanks to Jeannette who brought it all the way from Baan Nittaya Restaurant to AIT.

Child Labor, Kids Cleaning Off the Dust in the Car

In Thailand, I have the luxury of riding the Jeep Cherokee of my sister. We go places and shop around with it. When we have long weekends we also sometimes go to Pattaya Beach and we drove like 2 hours from our place in AIT. It’s really convenient to travel with a jeep. My sister have 3 kids and they love to play around at the back seat and baggage space. You know kids age from 2-12 years when on the road brings all their toys, food, drinks, pillows and whatever they can get hold on during the long trips. It’s fun but after that you get to face the task of cleaning the car. :(

The cost of having a car washed is around 200 baht for an Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV). It includes washing, polishing and clean the insides of the car. Once in every month there are times that we clean the car with our nephews and niece. It’s a fun experience because kids are just too eager to lend a hand. A simple help of holding the brush or the water hose is enough for them. Though they volunteer at times to vacuum the floor carpet and seats of the car. They enjoy the portable vacuum cleaner which can be plugged in to the cigarette heater port. I think having a bigger car vacuum cleaner mounted on the garage wall would be too much for them. Though how I wish to have one which I can use to clean our portable floor carpet. ;)

Those are the times that I miss having with the kids who are now in Finland. No, it’s not child labor. It’s actually a child’s labor of love that brought life’s simple pleasures. How I wish that we could still enjoy the same time together in the future.

It’s time for a room make-over

August 16, 2007

Woke up late again. Wonder if there’s something to perk me up each morning to beat my tardiness. Stared a bit at my hospital motif room and sulk.  Both my bed covers and pillowcases are in white. I felt dull seeing it day and night.  So I tried to visualize my favorite beach photo to be painted in my blankets.  But how in the world will that be possible.  I don’t even have a time to buy materials, how much more painting it.

A day had passed and I stumbled upon these testimonials from well pleased customers as I was searching Photo Bedding on the net. These people are talking about  VisionBedding site wherein you can see exquisite personalized designs and the countless possibilities you could ever think of. I read it as if I imagine receiving one of this nonpareil piece of art.

I promise to recommend this site. My friends would surely love to pick there own choice of distinct designs. The Cool Bedding (red and white combination) perfectly fits Therese as her favorite color is red.  Carey my sister-in-law would no doubt choose the Pink Butterfly.  Obviously her color preference is always pink. Geesh! The SnowBoard design is so cool! This Teen Bedding would be a great gift for my nephew Roland Kevin who eagerly waits to try snow boarding in Finland.

I can’t wait to turn my pictures into permanent and washable duvet covers.

Chicken with gravy

August 13th chronicle…

Budgeting for meals is so easy. Normally takes me a few minutes to finish if I base it from my existing marketing list.

But sometimes you get feed up with the usual menu. So think, think, think.  No idea comes in mind and I’m scheduled to go to the supermarket that day. So I resorted to scan the recipe book ones and for all. Quickly running my fingers through each page, looking for something healthy and easy to prepare.  And voila! Look what I got.

Just thinking about this day

Just sitting in the room after a hectic day at the office. Finished some blogs and thinking of the things that I need to do. My thoughts drift on things that happens around the world. There’s too much violence out there.

Peace cannot be achieved through violence, it can only be attained through understanding.

- Ralph Waldo Emerson

Trying to make out of what can I do. Pray for peace in the world. It’s a blessing to live life each day.

Earn more with Life Insurance Leads Companies

My mom worked before as a life insurance agent. Those were the days when one need to do everything by oneself. Of course they have plans and goals and they work with supervisors and managers in the field. I remember they have planners that contains their busy schedule and a long list of names to call and work on everyday. It takes time get some referral and leads of names to work with.

I think gone were the days wherein a life insurance agent needs to make their own leads. Today there are companies that offers services of providing life insurance leads. An agent nowadays do have a choice and they can get life insurance leads from LeadsClearance company. The benefits for this is tremendous especially when the life insurance lead is done via internet. The work will be much easier as compared to leads coming via phone calls or personal exchanges of cards. With the advent of internet, insurance leads goes straight to your computer. Arranging of the schedules can be done on fly. The agent could easily then focus more on the core things of selling and closing the deal.

Companies providing such life insurance leads do have some money back guarantee. If the leads tends to be anomalous they will give you back credits. There's nothing to loose in this case. You buy leads for say 10$ then generate a sale of $500. This is a good enough deal. It really would make life insurance agents work a bit easy.

The more leads that an agent have the better chance of making regular sales.

E-business made easy

My friend Jun who works in a textile company in Bangkok has developed several projects on e-commerce for there company's clients around the world. I tried to ask him whether he might have used any software to make his program run smoothly.  As I am planning to register a new domain and create a site that will feature my customized webdesigns.  However, my knowledge with e-commerce is too limited.

So he suggested to search for ashop.com.au. A revolutionary online store building shopping cart software for only a small monthly investment. It allows site to communicate transactions with major banks, credit cards company like Visa, American Express,Mastercard and other payment gateways including PayPal.

It's the business trend nowadays to go global. A must have for every store owner. Making it a requirement for small, medium and big enterprise to establish an online system that will market products 24 hours a day. For now I'm interested to avail the 10 day free trial to check how it works.

Afternoon nap

Taking some afternoon nap keeps me in shape for the whole afternoon rush. For me it’s essential to take a rest after lunch time. It’s a way of recharging myself from a hectic morning activity especially with bosses around. I make sure to set the alarm so it won’t take me more than 15 - 30 minute nap. After which I feel refreshed that I can last a whole afternoon till late evening work again.

Feeling sleepy too? Why don’t you take some rest? Have an afternoon nap.

Time for fashion… change your looks

Fashion time ! I like to shop some new clothes for my Tony for a change. He usually wears black slacks with matching polo shirt or long sleeves shirt on top. During Monday’s he wears sometimes jeans with yellow collared shirt which is a fashion trend here in Thailand as a sign of love and loyalty to the king. On weekends he sports most of the time light shirt and jeans when we go out. to Bangkok. That’s the kind of dress code routine he follows.
I was thinking of something to spice up his looks… just like the photo shown here which I have picked from Belisi Fashionable Photos . I enjoyed learning more about fashion style for men’s clothing from Sharp by Design and women too from The Divas Dreams . I am imagining my Tony dressed in this semi-formal attire going to the office. Looks cool for him. Don’t you think so? Be in fashion and style.

Serenity

Serenity
by Dena Martin

As I look
Beyond the ripples of my reflections
To examine my inner self;
The ripples begin to fade . . .
As the reflection lays beside me
Grasping my hand,
The inner warmth shields me
And the vision of my reflection appears
I see you. My Friend.

Tired of Selling Home Insurance Policy?

Selling some insurance policy is a gruelling job. I remember my friend working as an insurance agent hopping from one place to another to sell policy's. It would be more difficult I think if they're offering home insurance. It takes a lot of effort and it's a time consuming task.

How easy would it be that instead of hunting down prospects from one area to another the home insurance prospects will be coming to them? Does it sound great? It's like having insurance buyers come to them instead of them looking for buyers. I haven't known before that there could be a possibility of home insurance leads service.

A service wherein interested home insurance prospects that expects insurance quotes goes to a home insurance leads provider to help them find the right agent. This is both beneficial for the prospect and the agent.

The information of the homeowner insurance lead is then organized with full contact information an other relevant information to be viewed by the agent online. The agents can then select areas of their preference, types of dwellings, budgets of the leads and could specify exclusion filters.

There is more to that, agents can actually request for credit if the contact information is bad. Closing sales ratio could be increased by the follow-up facility provided for the agent. Remember that all information of home insurance leads are accessible in real time. So it's very easy to use.

This tools is really helpful for both homeowners and home insurance agents. My friend would really love to hear of this service. Gone are the home insurance agents tire some days with home insurance leads.

My Dream Digital SLR Camera

August 14, 2007

Dreaming is for FREE and there’s no limit to the dreams that we can have. I shared in my earlier posts about my obsession of upgrading my skills in photography. Currently I have a Fuji Finepix 5600 camera but as my photo shooting skills progress I need a much more advanced camera to play around. I was eyeing on the Nikon D40x Digital SLR camera. Yup, I shoot photos now like a professional. :) Here’s a sample of one of the greatest shots I have.

What can you say? Do I already qualify as a pro? :)
I think I badly need a new camera. I searched the net for the priced camera and bumped into retailmenot.com which provides some discount target coupon for various interesting shops.
Nikon D40x can be bought from Norman Camera and Video but one can use a <Norman Camera and Video> coupon code PG0607 to avail of a FREE SHIPPING discount. How’s that? You can buy other stuff and avail of discounts from www.retailmenot.com.

I can’t sleep anymore. I could get my Nikon D40x with a discount and can take much better photos. Who knows your photo will be the next greatest photos I have as a pro. :)
